The latest installment in the VX Series. This time from 2 long time friends KG Singers + Knell. KG = Kayla Guthrie who is from BC but is now based in NYC. She used to sing for the new-wave dance punk outfit Fuck Me USA and had a brief stint with Channels 2 & 3 and noise trio Teen Community back in Van-City before she split. She’s crafted some beauties here for the series. Five sweet tracks from straight-up vox only bits to effected melodies.
Backed by Knell - the amazing Vancouver musician Larissa Loyva - who you may know from her pop project Kellarissa. She’s also played with P:ano, Choir Practice, Leviathans and she has a new synth pop-punk group Fake Tears. Knell is her more noisy / abrasive side, heavy FX with a constant throb. You will enjoy this very much .

This comp was originally assembled to be released as an LP back in 2007 but the $$ fell through and it slowly went by the wayside… Meanwhile most of the groups disbanded or fizzled away with the exception of a couple……
I think I was too stubborn to make a tape version back then, WTF!? /// I wish I hadn’t… I always felt so guilty about this one, but it’s finally out and done!
Many of these groups are dead but people in them went on to other great bands, solo projects etc….
